Summary: We stayed 3 nights @ Dave Parkers Eco Lodge. The lodge is located on a mountain with wonderful views of the City of Apia & Ocean, surrounded by lush green forest, flowers and trees. The Lodge is secluded and quite. Great place if you want to chill out and relax but not convenient if you are interested in doing tours or coming into Apia everyday. But they do provide shuttle 5/6 days a week, leaving @ 8:30am and returning @ 3:00PM. The lodge is outdated. It has a small 22" TV on the wall, 1 Queen bed, which as OK. Balcony is not very useful. It is only about 3 feet wide, with 6" wooden railings, barely enough to squeeze a chair. But be careful of the Warps nets in the Wooden railing. 5 mins of arriving there, Bobby was stung by a Warp that had a large nest in the Wooden railings. We never went back out on the Balcony again. There are no bus services so either a car rental or arrange a Transfer in advance is best. Breakfast has two options... eggs & toast or pancakes. I asked for omelettes but the cook was not able to accommodate that. We had paid for breakfast in advance but it was added to our bill at checkout again. But Lolita, onsite Manager was able to credit us when I brought this to her attention. There is a small pool, we did not use it. Since Water is pumped up, buying drinking water is best. Lolita was wonderful. She is full of local information and she drives guests to town and pick them up. Lolita made our stay so much more enjoyable. We did check out a day early.
