Positive: The Dasher Apartment is amazing and a perfect size for a family of 4 (we were 2 adults and 2 children). We loved the location. It was about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Akaslompolo. We had a car so did a mixture of both. The cabin is really well equipped and everything a family needs is provided - I would advise anyone with younger children to have a chat with Jane about what is available and it will save you packing half your house! The single beds were a good size and lots of spare pillows if you needed them. The cabin was lovely and warm. Communication with Jane (the owner) was excellent. We cooked in most evenings and found we had everything we needed. Coffee (and filters), seasoning, condiments, herbs and spices were all available to use. You can use the log burner (we didn't). There is plenty of storage space and the washing machine and cupboard dryer was a godsend! Loved the sauna. There are sleds in a box on the veranda at the back. You have access to the ski storage area near the car parking to store ski equipment. We loved it so much that we are planning our return visit in 2024.
