Exceptional 2 bedroom/2 bath renovated barn available in the utterly scenic Litchfield Hills. Home has wonderful extra large living room with beamed ceilings and stone fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is a sun room entered through French doors. It is the perfect place to laze away the days or do some work on the Internet as it’s designed with the perfection of feng shui in mind. Adjacent to the sun room is a fenced in yard and on the other side of the house there is an outdoor pergola where one can sit outside if it’s not too cold and listen to the nearby creek.
The grounds are bursting with wonderful plantings and wildlife. Stone walls grace the entire property. The Barn is located in the historic, scenic district of New Milford, called Merryall. The excellent location is equidistant to the charming little towns of Kent, New Preston and Washington, which have wonderful restaurants and antique stores, and near Lake Waramaug.
Boarding Schools: Great lodging alternative as a vacation rental to visit the local boarding schools: The Gunnery, Kent School, South Kent School, Marvelwood, Canterbury and Rumsey Hall.
