Listen to the haunting call of the loons from this comfortable, elevated lakefront property situated privately on the shores of Long Pond, one of Mt. Desert Island's favorite lakes for swimming and boating. Tucked in among the trees, this cabin located on popular Long Pond offers the ideal setting for a wonderful Maine vacation filled with solitude and serenity.
LOWER LEVEL: Walkout basement area features a Bedroom with Queen futon. Full Bath with shower only and washer and dryer. Living and dining area with wet bar, wood stove, futon sofa bed and sliding glass doors to hot-topped deck with wooded views to the water.
MAIN FLOOR: Kitchen and Dining Area with view of the woods and lake. Living area with wood-burning fireplace offers similar views and sliding glass doors to the outside deck. Bedroom with Queen bed and wooded view. Full Bathroom with combined tub and shower.
SECOND FLOOR: Bedroom with Twin beds and wooded views.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Wraparound deck with picnic like furnishings overlooking woods and pond.
BUNKHOUSE: Just a few steps up a short path behind the main cabin, a detached bunkhouse without kitchen or bathroom facilities offers a rustic sleeping space with a Queen-sized bunk bed for parties who have paid an extra fee for each person above the standard occupancy of 6 people that the base pricing for use of only the main cabin offers.
EXTRAS: Tenants have use of a canoe, kayak and private dock provided all U.S. Coast Guard rules regarding life jackets and personal flotation devices are followed. Internet, but note that television is NOT offered.
** CANCELLATION POLICY:
Tenants who cancel 90 or more days from their arrival date will receive 100% of the rental portion in refund, less Knowles Commission. Tenants who cancel between 90 and 45 days before their arrival date will receive 50% of the rental portion in refund, less Knowles Commission, and the balance will be paid to the Homeowner, regardless of whether or not the house re-books. Tenants who cancel less than 45 days from their arrival date will receive a full refund of the rental portion. Eligibility for a refund of the state lodging tax and/or Vrbo service fee shall be subject to the policies of Vrbo. Tenants are encouraged to purchase trip insurance to help protect them from unforeseeable circumstances that prevent them from taking occupancy.
