Positive: This is going to be a review of two halves. I booked with house with a large group of frinds for a university reunion. To start with the good, the kitchen was wonderful and provided tea/coffee/sugar. The hot tub looked great, though we didnt use it. There is also a pizza oven and a good outside patio, though as its residential you cant use it after 10pm. The beds were clean and comfortable and the house was warm with loads of space for socialising. You can fit 3 cars in the driveway, but only if they're small as its very narrow
Negative: There however was a few building issues - one of the toilets leaked, there were a lot of ants in the downstairs double room and quite a few things were mildly broken or in a bit of disrepair. Some of the bathrooms didn't have locks too. I also found it very difficult to initally contact the houseowners and had to evertually go though the help on booking.com, which still took weeks. I was also told my damage deposit would be returned to me in a couple of days and a week or so later I had to remind them of my bank details as they had been shredded (?). It was returned to me in full afterwards, with an apology which I appreciated.
Summary: Good for a cheapish stay close to the beach but does have issues
