Rustic historic 2-bedroom cabin, 1 bath, in the heart of a Camp Sherman on 2 acres nestled next to National Forest with miles of hiking, biking and river trails. A wonderful setting to get away from it all and relax on our 2 -acre property that has both this lovely cabin and our main house on it. The cabin is a small separate guest house that was originally the caretakers place for the property. Originally built in the 1958, the cabin has been updated while still maintaining its original rustic charm. Bordered by National Forest. The Metolius River is just a 10-minute stroll through the forest. You have wonderful views of Mt Jefferson, Mt Washington and Three Fingered Jack from around the property. The cozy cabin has a family room with a wood stove and sitting area. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric range/oven, fridge, microwave and a stunning view of three fingered jack from the window. The kitchen is open to the dining area with a four-person farm table. The bathroom is rustic but fully functional and has walk in shower and single sink. The bathroom is separate, allowing access from each bedroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second room has a twin bunk that can be converted into a king bed depending on your needs. There is a back room with a laundry area. All linens, bedding, and towels provided. Walk to the river, ride your bike to the Camp Sherman Store to get ice cream and watch the fish at the look out, or roast marshmallows as you sit around the fire pit star gazing after a BBQ on the gas grill. You can also fish the crystal-clear waters of the Metolius until your heart is content on one of the best fly fishing rivers in Oregon. Watch the seasons change and the beautiful fall colors burst against the blue sky. Welcome winter as you curl up by the wood stove after a day of skiing at Hoodoo Ski Resort, only 15 minutes away. The mountain town of Sisters in 15 miles away with its charming shops, art galleries and eateries. Continue past Sisters to lively Bend with all its outdoor and hipster offerings, only 40 minutes from the cabin. The cabin is perfect for couples, families, and outdoorsmen. Camp Sherman is really the perfect quintessential American spot. There is just something magical about the place! Come discover what generations of families have been returning to year after year. We love this area and absolutely love sharing it with our guests. Unplug as a family or get a little alone time away from technology. Cell coverage is limited in the Metolius River Valley (connect at highway junction 4 miles from cabin). The cabin has a TV and DVD player with a library of movies, but no cable TV. Half the fee is due at the time of booking, with the remainder due 30 days before arrival. No refunds will be given, we suggest you get trip insurance if you feel your plans may change. The owners may be present on the property for your stay. Limit 4 people, no pets or smoking/vaping anywhere on the property.
