Welcome to our Magnolia Beach 'Bay House', a cozy little 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom beach house with screened deck. Our bay house is on the Promenade of Magnolia Beach on Historical Lavaca Bay.
Magnolia Beach is a quiet little fishing village in the middle of the Texas Gulf Coast. Magnolia Beach is one of the only places left on the Texas Gulf Coast where you can still drive on the beach right up to the bay.
The fishing is great! You can fish from the beach in front of the house, go down to the rocks, kayak into Powder Horn Lake from the bay or go down to the marina in Indianola and arrange to fish right off the deck into the channel connecting Lavaca Bay with Matagorda Bay and Powder Horn Lake.
According to the City of Port Lavaca; Birding has never been better in
Calhoun County. It is a migratory flyway for 400 species of birds, and the area is a wintering ground for numerous species, including the endangered Whooping Crane. The county boasts eight birding sites on the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. For seven consecutive years, more bird species have been recorded in Calhoun County than any other county in the nation during the North America Migratory Count. The count is conducted annually in May.
