Built in 1945, this cottage was completely renovated to modern safety and convenience standards, yet retains all of its original post war America charm. Located on a shared one acre lot with the main home, the cottage is delightfully decorated with era antiques, yet has all the modern conveniences one would want while traveling abroad, such as full size washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove/oven, heated floors in the bathroom, & Smart TV, yet retains the original plank floors upstairs, original wood stove, original basin sink and light fixtures, etc. If you like a sense of yesteryear and days gone by, the Country Cottage is sure to please your sense of nostalgia. The Cottage is equipped with a hotel quality Queen bed in the master bedroom upstairs and a 1940's vintage spring bed in the spare room that adds to the vintage charm, (but not really suitable for sleep), but could work in a pinch. The Cottage is surrounded by 40 acres of protected farmland located in the heart of the Skagit Valley, where the Skagit Valley Tulip festival is held every April. If you like antiquing, visiting local breweries/wineries, hiking, biking, skiing, then you've just hit the jackpot! Speaking of jackpots, the Country Cottage is located within 1hr or less of five world class tribal gaming casinos, night life, entertainment, & concert venues. Located only one hour North of Seattle and one hour South of the Canadian border the Cottage is centrally located to all of the Pacific Northwest's greatest attractions.
