Summary: Our parents have a lake house on Barren River Lake and had a backyard wedding there this past weekend. We stayed at this house to be close and to have a space big enough to house 2 couples and then host the bridal party for makeup and hair, morning of. The spacious downstairs bedroom was perfect for all ladies and makeup/hair equipment. The owners were very proactive when there was a potential issue the AC and had a window unit in and on for us when we got there just to make sure we were comfortable and had back up. There was a small issue with the deck, and they sent out someone to fix it ASAP. They stopped in to make sure everything was going well and were very apologetic even over these very minor issues. The double deck that faces the woods is perfect for relaxing and unwinding each night after our busy festivities. The fireplace area with seating is also great. We can’t wait to use this space again! Thanks so much to the hosts.
