The Windhover is one of the original cabins in Oceanside built back in 1932! The house still has the original wood paneling and floors, but the cabin has been significantly updated with a new foundation, new windows, new kitchen cabinets, beautiful wood counter tops, a new bathroom, and a new over-sized deck!
The Windhover is a cozy, pet friendly home just 1 block from the beach and a short walk to "downtown" Oceanside. This fun house is perfect for families and has a well-appointed kitchen that is open to the dining and living area. So whether you are cooking, or playing games at the dining table, everyone will feel included.
The large front porch invites you to sit with your family and friends and enjoy a meal while listening to the ocean, or to relax at the end of your fun-filled day at the beach and enjoy a glass of wine.
For your time indoors, there's the flat-screen TV with streaming capabilities, and the house offers high-speed wireless Internet for those who need to stay connected.
As you walk through the front door you'll find an entryway that expands to the back of the home. Towards the back of the entryway is a bunk bed with a full size bed on the bottom and a twin on the top. To the right of the entryway is the living room that opens into the dining room and kitchen.
Just off the kitchen are two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed, and the other with a bunk bed that also has a full size bed on the bottom and a twin on the top. Five beds easily give all eight guests a comfortable place to rest each night.
A washer and dryer are also provided, as well as books and games for your enjoyment. An outdoor portable fire pit and propane grill are also available to you!
The backyard is the home of a gorgeous Linden tree. It's beautiful branches stretch over the yard and provide privacy and shade during those warmer days. There's even a half bathroom accessed from outside, and an outdoor shower! Rinse off the sand or use the facilities before running back to the beach.
This cozy beach home would be a fantastic place for a family getaway. Bring the kids and the dog for a quiet family get-together or visit with a few close friends while exploring the bay, the beach, and beyond!
