3 Bedroom Cabin in Mountain Base, Slaty Fork
Enjoy a secluded stay at our cedar-sided mountain cabin located on 7.5 acres only 2 miles from the entrance to Snowshoe mountain and golf course. After a long day on the slopes, relax in the hot tub and/or roast some marshmallows over the "smokeless" fire pit. Our property has a large yard with plenty of room to sled and play in the snow or enjoy a game of cornhole in the summertime. Enjoy nearby hiking trails and search for wild berries and wildflowers in the spring and summer. Enjoy your favorite cup of coffee, tea or a glass of wine in one of the rocking chairs on the large covered porch or just sit, relax and enjoy watching the birds or watch deer stroll by. The porch also has a gas grill for cooking while socializing with your family and friends.
Nearby activities include skiing, snowboarding, tubing, snowmobile tours, golf, mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, Cass Scenic Railroad with steam train tour, National Radio Astronomy Observatory, dining, shopping and much more.

* Den in the main living area has TV with streaming cable-like TV service through YouTubeTV with local channels, national news channels, major networks, ESPN and more. Netflix included. (Master bedroom TV has the same capabilities.)
* Internet with wifi capable of streaming.
* Level 2 high speed (60)amp (FREE) EV charger on the property. There are a few chargers at Snowshoe but they are slower than ours and often overcrowded and occupied. Chargepoint charger charges all EV types, uses J1772 adapter.
* Smart deadbolt door lock for hassle free check in.
* Land line telephone.

* Note* 4-wheel drive/all-wheel drive or chains are necessary for the winter months.
Cell service is very spotty in the Snowshoe area due to the nearby Greenbank Satellite (one of the world's largest). You can turn your phone on 'wifi calling' and your phone will function as normal. Sometimes the Internet Service Provider experiences regional outages. This is beyond our control. We will be getting High Speed Fiber Optic internet in the spring of 2023! There is a landline phone if needed.
