Located right downtown, Cottages on Monastery is perfect for one or two people, or for a group of friends that want a little privacy, but want to be close to each other. Rent 1 or 2, for a few friends traveling together, or, receive 10% discount and rent all 4 and sleep up to 8. Cottage 3 is in the back on the street side Close to downtown and shopping, the Cottages on Monastery has all you need. A twin trundle allows sleeping close to each other, but in separate beds (the bottom of the twin had a drawer that pulls out with a second twin mattress in it. The cottages are your own little oasis. You are close to the heart of Sitka, yet peaceful and quiet stay. Walk a block over to the Highliner coffee shop (our MOST popular, you MUST have one their homemade bakery concoctions!) or to one of our many restaurants that are just around the corner. Crescent Harbor is just a block away, where you can look for captains to take you out on a day-trip fishing, or sightseeing. Right across the street is the Centennial Building, where most of Sitka's conventions are held. At Crescent Harbor you will also find kayaks and bikes to rent where you can head out on your own or join a tour. The charter fleet and wildlife cruises operate out of the harbor. The Sitka Summer Music Festival and Russian Dancers perform right there at the Centennial Building. All four Cottages on Monastery are fully furnished (all you need is your suitcase). Each cottage has wireless high speed internet and satellite TV. They are non-smoking and pet dander free. Each has a private entry and private bath. There is a small breakfast bar, microwave, stove with oven, refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster along with all the kitchen dishes and items you might need for cooking and eating. This home is Owner-Managed. Sitka Travel is working as their Reservation Agent, only. Sitka Travel does yearly inspections of all Owner-Managed Homes and promises them to be as shown on www.sitkatravel.com, but cannot guarantee that the home-owners offers the same amenities as Sitka Travel, fully-managed homes.
