Positive: Lovely cottage in a superb location. Check in was really easy and the whole cottage was very clean. Facilities excellent with good quality dishes, etc. in kitchen and everything you need. Lovely artwork throughout and whole place was super warm and cosy. This is also the owners' holiday home but everything is put away enough so you don't feel you are intruding on their space. Decor is very tasteful. Nice touch with welcome pack, wine and Scottish goodies. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend.
Negative: Had to take a point off for check in/out times. 5pm is a late check in which is just about ok. However, 9am is the earliest I've ever been asked to check out. I understand it's probably to do with cleaning schedules but 10am would be better and give guests time to have breakfast and give the place a tidy.
