The living room also has a magnificent Gulf view as do the kitchen and dining area. Mermaid’s Star is infused with the magic and romance of legendary seafaring days and has just been redecorated, marrying vintage beach house charm with 21st century amenities. It boasts smart TVs with free streaming channels including 40+ movie channels (or log into your favorite subscriptions) plus free WiFi throughout.
If you’ve found your way to this listing, you probably already know that Splash Resort is a family destination. It features two pools (both heated in season and one heated year-round) a hot tub, a lazy river, toddler-friendly splash pad, and its own children’s water park with slides and a giant splash bucket, all directly on the beach. It also features an exercise room, the beachfront Riptide Bar and Grill, and a brand-new café.
As soon as you enter Mermaid’s Star, you’ll feel the siren song of the beach with stunning views of surf, sand and emerald water that entice you onto the bounteous 40-foot deck stretching the length of the condo. It’s the perfect place to sip coffee in the morning and cocktails over stellar sunsets, and to linger after dark as the stars wink on overhead and moonlight spills across the sea.
The living room has lots of comfy seating, a 65-inch TV and a queen-sized sofa bed with plenty of room for its occupant to stash clothes and gear in convenient dressers. The kitchen seats three at the granite breakfast bar while the dining area seats six at its custom compass table. The kitchen boasts stainless appliances: double-oven range with convection option; fridge with ice maker; dishwasher; and microwave. If you don’t feel like firing up the range, there’s a hungry crew-sized instant pot and crockpot. You’ll find enough cookware, dishes and glasses to accommodate every matey in your crew plus a pantry for your groceries.
Mermaid’s Star’s two bedrooms both have luxurious king beds and 50-inch TVs. As well as en suite bathrooms, both offer deck access from sliding glass doors. One bathroom features a double sink, generous soaking tub, and separate glass-doored shower. The other bathroom, with double sinks and an oversized glass-doored shower, can be accessed from the second bedroom as well as the living area.
Junior crew members will love the bunk area with upper and lower twin beds and a twin bed trundle that pulls out for dreamy nights. The bunk area is also where you’ll find the full-size tower washer/dryer unit, tucked behind its own door, and a cargo cupboard for storing your beach toys. And while you’re at Mermaid’s Star, keep your eyes open for mermaids!
