Cooinda is on 10 acres of steep terrain at the edge of the Otways rain forest, perched high in the hills with views through to the ocean. Wild Dog Creek meanders down the gully spilling into the sea at Pirates Cove.
The house is on mains power (green energy), instantaneous gas hot water and tank rain water supply. The water is safe to drink and delicious! It is circulated through the property by pump which simply needs to be switched on at arrival and off at departure.
The main living area of the house is open-plan with windowed-doors that open up completely onto the massive entertainment deck with 2 BBQs, open-fire place (BYO wood) & sheltered seating. Additional stools are available along the outside breakfast bar with views in all directions of the picturesque Otways & blue ocean scape.
The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge/freezer, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, 4 stools & 6-seater table & chairs. The living space has ample seating with 2-seater couch & 2 lounge chairs, nestled around the large Conara wood fire (BYO wood). Games, books, movies, TV with DVD player for movies as there is no TV reception, and a pool table are all at your fingertips to entertain on those indoor days.
Featuring 2 bedrooms: Master with Queen bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet & vanity (with rear door access), and a 2nd bedroom with a double bed. The main bathroom has shower, toilet & vanity. Laundry facility is available on the rear deck of the house.
The property offers absolute seclusion with no other encroaching property. The vista is so relaxing and offers rural, forest & ocean views in 180 degrees of the large outdoor deck, that is elevated above the undulating property.
This semi-rural getaway will create very special holiday memories, with brilliant, star-gazing nights, warm sunny Otway breezes & the lull of rolling waves.
Only 10 minutes to Apollo Bay township with a selection of retail shops, cafes, restaurants & entertainment.
*It is recommended that you aim to arrive at the property during day light hours. As this property is supplied by rain water there are some special instructions for switching on the water pump and hot water system. If you are arriving after hours packing a torch may come in handy! There is limited mobile reception at the property and no TV reception, however fast working Starlink Wifi.
