Poipu is known for its impressive surf, underwater sea caverns and coral reefs for snorkeling, and stretches of sand ideal for sunbathing, reading or napping. Poipu Beach is family-friendly thanks to its sheltered keiki (children) ponds and lifeguard services. However, if you are looking for a less-traveled beach, Mahaulepu Beach offers secluded sand and sea ideal for strolls and quiet time for contemplation.
If you want to take in some local body surfing, nothing beats the action at Shipwrecks Beach with its awesome shore-breaks. And there’s nowhere better to watch the Poipu sunsets than the beach or an adjacent beach restaurant with a Hawaiian cocktail in hand. Known for the breathtaking tones of pink and orange, the rosy clouds create a stunning end to a perfect day.
Poipu Weather
Many people seek vacations on other islands of Hawaii since Kauai is known as one of the rainiest places on earth. However, Poipu offers sunny climes for most of the year. You also get the bonus of cool trade winds when the temperatures rise. In the winter, temperatures range from the mid-70s to the lower 80s, and in the summer, they spike to the upper 80s. Although there is a risk for showers, they come in short bursts and aren’t likely to ruin your day.

Poipu keeps you busy if you aren’t just there to relax. Whether you are looking to play a round of golf at one of the three golf courses designed by world-class designers Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Tom Weiskopf. Formerly the home of the PGA Grand Slam, the Poipu Bay Golf Course is a must. You can also visit Kiahuna Golf Course or Kukuiula Golf Course, Kauai’s most exclusive course. If you are looking for adventure, experience the natural beauty of the area with an adrenaline rush ziplining through the forest. You can also rent an ATV and get a little dirty on the many trails in the area.

Two of the Founders of the Hawaii Regional Cuisine movement, their signature restaurants are a must when visiting Poipu. I Heart Poipu Hale is a downstairs unit but makes you feel like you're in an upstairs unit when out on the lanai. This condo has a split system A/C and vaulted ceilings which will provide a comfortable space to call "home" while you’re on Kauai.I Heart Poipu Hale is a great place to kick your feet up after a long day's adventure! Relax on your private lanai overlooking the garden while being a short stroll to the sand. Surf spots, long walks and lifeguarded beach are all within walking distance.
• The Bedroom has a comfortable King size bed to ensure a good night's rest and a 32" inch SMART TV to stream your favorite movies or television series so don’t forget your passwords.
• The bathroom has a double vanity and walk in shower. I provide the basics-soap, shampoo and conditioner
• Keep cool in the living room with split A/C (which cools the entire condo but you must close all the louvered windows) or you can open up all the louvered windows and enjoy the cooling Kauai trade winds! The living room is complete with a queen size sleeper sofa to accommodate 2 extra guests (4 total), a 50" SMART TV and “Alexa” to listen to your favorite music, set alarms/reminders or ask simple questions, lol…

LOCATION IN THE COMPLEX
• My condo is in Bldg. 42 on the first floor. Parking is FREE and is located directly in front of the building making it easy to bring in your luggage or groceries. It is considered a 'Garden View' unit, as it does not have a direct view of the ocean but is an enjoyable 8 minute walk through the historic Kiahuna Plantation to Poipu Beach or 2 minutes to Kiahuna Beach Front.
• PLEASE NOTE : A Transient Occupancy tax of 13.25% and Sales & GET Tax of 4.712% will be included in the fees.
TURO is highly recommended, CAR RENTAL COMPANIES HAVE LONG WAIT TIMES. There are many places to see and explore!!
