Whether you need a relaxing vacation or just want to see NH. Come and visit East Wakefield, NH. Spend your vacation in a bright and cozy cottage that sits 100 feet from Balch Lake. Balch Lake is a 700+ acre lake that stretches between New Hampshire and Maine. The lake has nice clean water and is great for swimming. We have a private neighborhood beach just a short walk from the house. Please note, the property is not directly on the water but does have a partial water view. Also, feel free to bring your canoe or kayak if you have one. There is a boat launch right across the street from the cottage that makes easy access to the water. The lake is very big and there are lots of areas and coves to explore. Balch Lake also has a Marina thats offers Beer, Wine, Pizza, and Candy. As well as Marine Gasoline. The entire cottage has been newly remodeled this year. The cottage is bright, clean, and airy. It consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, and sunroom. There is also a sleep sofa in the living room, so the cottage will sleep a total of six persons. We offer cable and WiFi internet for you as well as a DVD player. Enjoy the the outdoors on the deck that looks out at a view of the water. Feel free to sit, relax, and take in the fresh air. The cottage is situated in a private neighborhood. It is located on a peninsula which makes it great for walks because there is almost always a view of the lake. We also love how warm the lake water gets in the summer and is great for swimming. Enjoy the summer nights cooking on the gas grill and chatting with friends and family around a camp fire. The cottage is a great place to come and relax. The feeling of being by the lake is amazing. It comes with a simple life kind of feeling to it, but the location is also a reasonable distance from NH and ME attractions. It is only 2 hours from Boston as about 1 hour from the attractions of the southern Maine coast line and 50 Minutes from North Conway NH where you can enjoy outlet shopping and dining.
