The Space:
Cute, cosy, quirky … words often used to describe Coach House. Also “something of a Tardis”. Coming into the house can be a surprise, as it’s unexpectedly spacious. As the name suggests, the property was originally a real coach house to one of the large, gracious Victorian town houses which overlook Southsea Gardens and the seafront. Sadly most of these properties are now flats but the Coach House is a delightful family home which still retains some of the original features.
The open plan ground floor comprises a large, comfortable living area, leading through to a well appointed kitchen with a brilliant and easy to use induction hob. Keep going through to a light and airy spacious dining area. The remainder of the ground floor is now a garage, accessed from the living area via French doors and from the street by a remote controlled, “up and over” garage door. Providing safe, off-road parking for one car, the garage retains the original cobbled floor, dating from the 1880s, and the coach lamps, which have been restored and are fully functioning. Additional fridge and freezer space is also located in the garage.
Upstairs are three bedrooms – two double and one single. At the top of the stairs, the single bedroom opens to the left and a double to the right. Both are well appointed and good sizes. Next to the single bedroom is the family bathroom.
Directly ahead is the large master bedroom that has windows both south and north facing, so lovely natural daylight whatever time of the year. An en-suite shower room completes the space.

Located smack in the centre of Southsea, with off-road parking for one car and additional residents’ parking permits available at a small extra cost, Coach House is an ideal venue for short breaks, beach weeks, and all-year- round shopping in Gunwharf Quays. Park your car, unpack and head out on foot to find a fantastic range of bars, restaurants and bistros. Palmerston Road and Clarendon Road are 5 minutes walk, while Old Portsmouth is about 15-20 minutes. Passenger Hovercraft to Isle of Wight is about 15 minutes.
Getting Around:
The Nearest Bus Stop (Southsea Shops Stop A) is just a 4 minute walk away and will take you into Central Portsmouth or Gunwharf Quays in just 10 Minutes.
For travellers wanting to go further afield you can take the train from Fratton which is just 1.5 miles away. From Fratton you can get a direct train to Southampton (30 mins), Chichester (20 mins) or London (1hr 29 mins).
The nearest airport is Southampton which is just 30 mins drive away.

This is the ideal location form those attending Victorious Festival. The Coach House is just a few minutes walk away from the festival itself but located down a quiet side road meaning you can dip in and out of the action!
