The Cottage provides contemporary rural accommodation for 2 adults in Woodbridge, 30 minutes drive south of Hobart. Located on a 28 acre property positioned in a secluded farming valley, the Cottage overlooks the surrounding pastoral land, D'Entrecasteaux Channel, Bruny Island and hillside eucalypt forest. The picturesque wooden two story cottage with spiral staircase, attic style bedroom and luxury bathroom has been transformed into a spacious apartment designed for two. With a mix of modern conveniences and stylish furnishings, Clear Creek Cottage has everything you need for a wonderful stay. A basket of fresh breakfast provisions is provided at the start of your stay, with home-made bread, local eggs & bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms, milk, juice, Tasmanian jam and honey. Tea, coffee and cereal are also available. A minimum 2 night stay ensures that you will have plenty of time to relax, enjoy the property and explore its surrounds. Accommodation: A wooden farm cottage with climbing roses and cosy porch, overlooking the property's hedged gardens, farm paddocks and crystal clear creek. The Cottage is fitted with brand new furnishings and a few carefully picked historical pieces, providing style, comfort and convenience. Downstairs comprises a living/dining & kitchen area complete with plush floor rug and wood stove heater. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for in-house cooking with a bar fridge, microwave, electric hotplate element, electric wok, cooking utensils, espresso coffee machine and tea making facilities. A portable iPod player and LCD TV/DVD are provided downstairs and free Wi-Fi is available. The narrow spiral staircase leads up to the attic bedroom and bathroom. The spacious bedroom has a queen bed with quality linen and extra pillows, two deep slipper chairs for relaxing on and a flat screen LCD Smart TV with DVD player. There is also a Bluetooth stereo so that you can listen to music wirelessly from your own mobile smart phone. Water views of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, surrounding farmlands and Bruny Island can all be enjoyed from the upstairs bedroom windows. There is a porta-cot available if travelling with an infant. The cottage is NOT SUITABLE for children that are at an age where they can get around by themselves (12 months+) The bathroom includes a full size traditional deep cast iron enameled bath & shower with antique style brass fittings plus aromatic bath products and local soaps to indulge in. The Cottage has electric panel heating available throughout. Outside the Cottage there is access to the property's creek-side nature walk, picnic site, rainwater dam with visiting platypus, friendly pet goats, chooks and native wildlife. There is also an outdoor deck area available with a wood fired BBQ. The property is registered as part of the 'Land For Wildlife' program which seeks to identify and conserve wildlife and habitat on private land. Complimentary bicycles are available for a short ride down to Woodbridge and Peppermint Bay, or further afield for the more adventurous! For wildlife enthusiasts there is an abundance of local native fauna, flora and bird life to be enjoyed.
