Positive: Really lovely old historic hotel with great views of the bay. The junior suite was a very large comfortable room, and the grounds, pool, and gym area (which includes a sauna, steam room and hot tub) were very nice and kept in good condition.

Negative: If you’re looking for views, make sure to book a bay view room. We booked a junior suite because the pictures online made it look like there were views of the bay, but it turns out the junior suites are on the lower floors and we only had a partial view of the bay. Also on nice weekends the pool area gets really crowded with members of the gym which is open to the public. We had trouble finding a seat around the pool, so it’s too bad they don’t make hotel guests more of a priority. However, it was the first really sunny weekend in May so it may not be that busy all year round. It did quiet down and get less busy in the late afternoon/early evening and it is a very nice pool area.

Summary: Beautiful historic hotel!
