Summary: The apartment is small but functional. We had 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. The boys slept in the room with two twin beds and we slept in the other. The dining table only has 2 chairs, but there are two chairs on the balcony that could be used. We just pulled the table to the couch and 2 sat on the couch and 2 on the chairs. There is a washing machine - could use some instructions on how to use as it's just pictures. We figured it out by downloading a manual from the web. The balcony has a drying rack for clothes that made it possible to dry clothes - although with the humidity it takes longer (plus learning how to make the washer spin on the fast cycle helped). There was a laundrymat less than a block away, so that's an option as well. The location was perfect - a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the harbor & metro the other way. There were plenty of restaurants (of all prices) and grocery stores near by. The only "surprise" was the tourist tax - which we didn't realize when we booked. So add another 2,25€/adult/night (adults start at age 16, so that was another 10€ per night for us). Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. The check in process was very easy - Junior met us at the apartment and showed us around. He also arranged a taxi for us at the end of the stay which was very much appreciated as our Spanish is no bueno! Also, checkout was simple as well. In addition, Begona checked in with us during the week and Junior said we could contact him as well. So I definitely felt well cared for. We really enjoyed our stay in La Barceloneta and if we come back to Barcelona we'd stay there again.
