Churchfield Stables is one of two holiday cottages set on a small working farm surrounded by wonderful countryside and within walking distance of a charming Sussex village. Converted from farm stables, the cottage has been restored to a high standard with all the comfort you would expect from a holiday home. This is a delightful cottage on the edge of the South Downs National Park with easy access to Petworth, Arundel and the Sussex coast. The cottage is set over two floors with the ground floor having an open plan living area. There is a comfortable lounge with a large screen television with Freeview channels and WiFi available. There is a dining table for two; a perfect spot for a cost evening meal. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher and there is also access to a shared laundry area with a washing machine and dryer available. The ground floor bathroom has a large shower cubicle, basin, WC and towel heater. The stylish bedroom is on the first floor and has a kingsize bed with stunning uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. The glass front balcony over the living area and the windows bring a wonderful feeling of space and light in this room. There is a useful cloakroom next to the bedroom with a WC and basin. Outside is a sunny outside courtyard area with seating available where you can enjoy a morning coffee and watch the comings and goings of the horses in the yard. West Chiltington and beyond Churchfield Stables is in the charming village of West Chiltington which lies in the lea of the South Downs. This sprawling village has a 12th century church, a quiet charm and like many Sussex villages provides a tranquil retreat from the pressures of modern living. All this, and only 50 miles south of London. The village stocks and whipping post are preserved outside the church and are believed to have been constructed in the mid 17th century. A small very interesting museum stands behind the church. West Chiltington is a village full of charming cottages, winding lanes and friendly shops and pubs. The Wildbrooks on the flood plain at nearby Pulborough offers many excellent walks along the banks of the River Arun and uninterrupted views south towards the Downs.
