Beach House sits on a beautiful 10,000 square foot lot with 130 feet of direct ocean frontage. The home is located on a corner lot with sand surrounding more than half of the home. The home is perfectly located halfway between Waimea Bay and Haleiwa town on Oahu's famous North Shore. The home was originally constructed as the Laniakea Train Station in the late 1800's. The home is raised above the winter surf on large cement pillars and because it was originally constructed many years ago it is built much closer to the beach than most North Shore beachfront homes.
Chuns Beach House has one of the best locations on the North Shore with a beautiful white sandy beach at your doorstep. Once you open the gate, the sand is just steps away. We provide many beach toys for the use of our guests including sand chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, boogie boards, stand up paddle boards, soft top surfboards, kayaks, and coolers. Chuns Reef is the best spot for water activities on the North Shore during the calm summer months. The calm summertime reef is perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, stand up paddle board and beginner surf lessons. Tide pools in front of the home can provide hours of exploration for the little ones.
There is amazing world class surf in front of the property during the winter months. Two Surfline.com cams are located on the property. The entire home was completely refurnished with beautiful Balinese furnishings.
***THIS IS A SHARED PROPERTY. THERE ARE THREE SEPARATE PRIVATE UNITS ON THE PROPERTY*** Each unit feels completely separate and private from the other units and everyone has their own private lanai. Please inquire about oceanfront units if interested.
***OUR SURFER STUDIO IS OUR MOST ECONOMICAL OPTION FOR THOSE WISHING TO STAY ON A BEACHFRONT PROPERTY WITH DIRECT BEACH ACCESS. THE SURFER STUDIO IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. IT IS A SMALL STUDIO, HAS A DETACHED BATHROOM, SITS ADJACENT TO THE BUSY HIGHWAY WITH ROAD NOISE AND HAS NO VIEW. It is a very basic, no frills, cozy, clean comfy stand alone studio at the rear of the property. The surfer studio features a sleeping area with a comfortable queen pillow top mattress, down bedding and fresh white linens. There is a 46' Sony flat screen TV in the sleeping area with DVD player.
Surfer studio guests have shared use of the common areas including the oceanfront jacuzzi, beach toys and direct beach access.
There is an adjacent sitting area with a dining table for two and fully equipped kitchenette. The kitchenette features a mini fridge, stainless microwave oven, Breville counter top oven, blender, coffee maker, and cook top burner. The kitchenette is fully stocked with pots/pans, dishes and all utensils.
The surfer studio features an in-wall air conditioner.
There is a small enclosed private lanai attached to the studio. It is for surfer studio guests only. The covered lanai has been remodeled with a new roof and the lanai is nicely covered from the rain. The lanai features a Balinese daybed and table and chairs. There is a BBQ for garden studio guests to use located by the oceanfront gazebo.
The surfer studio bathroom is detached from the studio and located outside down a short lighted walkway. The walkway is lit with motion detector lights at night. The bathroom features a shower. The bathroom is for the exclusive use of the surfer studio guests and features a key pad door lock.
There are also 3 outdoor showers on the property. The one nearest to the surfer studio bathroom features hot water.
High speed wireless internet is provided throughout the property.
There is a front load washer and dryer for guest use.
The above ground beachfront shared jacuzzi is for the use of all guests on the property.
