Located on the crystal clear waters of Lake Martin, this 5,600 square foot, five-bedroom home is a fantastic getaway for families and friends and group, church, or corporate retreats! The house sits on 2.5 wooded acres, in the back of a quiet slough with a gentle slope down to a large carpeted pier.
The main and upper levels feature 4 bedrooms, each have a king sized bed and private bathroom with tub and shower. Relax in the large Great room or out on the roomy screened in porch with a lake view. The Great room has a 65 inch smart TV and wood burning fireplace. The fully stocked main level kitchen is equipped with a gas range, oven, large french door refrigerator, microwave, Cuisinart coffee maker, under the counter ice maker with crushed ice, and a family-sized dining table that seats 8. There is also a large dining room with seating for 6. The walk in pantry and laundry room with sink, fold down ironing board with iron, and washer and dryer complete the main level.
The lower level of the house has a spacious bunk room with 8 custom twin size bunk beds and individual reading lights. You’ll also have a full bathroom with shower/tub and full kitchen on this level. In the large downstairs den there is a sectional couch that easily seats 8 adults, a 60” smart TV card table, full sized pool table and ping pong table.
The back yard has a full sized badminton court with turf. It can also be used to play Corn hole or Can Jam. On cool evenings sit around the large fire pit in the back yard or relax on the dock under a breathtaking view of the night sky. The spacious deck has a table with seating for 8 and a Charbroil infrared natural Gas Grill .While the Pontoon boat and Wave Runner pictured are not available for use, you are welcome to dock your own watercraft on our fully carpeted pier. The pier has a full sized umbrella. You are invited to use our 14-ft canoe or 3 kayaks complete with life jackets and oars. Your stay will also include chairs, umbrella, badminton rackets and birdies!
Take a 10 minute drive to Catherine’s Market at Russell Crossroads where you can shop for groceries or have a delicious breakfast and/or lunch at Fannie Goldmine's. In the evenings there is fine dining at Springhouse Restaurant just behind Catherine’s. There is also horseback riding at the stables at Russell Crossroads. Our home is located within 20 minutes of Walmart, Winn Dixie and numerous fast food restaurants. There is also Nail's convenience store with gas pumps, wine and beer. about 10 minutes south of our home as well as a Dollar General
There are numerous walking trails a few minutes away and also below Lake Martin Dam about a 20 min car ride.
When summer winds cool down and football heats up this is a perfect place to stay for Auburn home games.
