3 Bedroom Cottage in Burdett

This beautiful lake property is set on the east side of Seneca Lake, nestled in the woods atop an overlook, with breath-taking sunset views. It is a quiet and secluded property yet conveniently located just a quick 10-minute drive south to the Village of Watkins Glen, 5 minutes east to the hiking trails of the Finger Lakes National Forest, and 30 minutes east to the cultural activities of the college town of Ithaca. The east side of the lake is home to many of the fine wineries on the Seneca Wine Trail and a short distance to the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths with a full basement complete with a washer and dryer. There are hardwood floors throughout and ceiling fans in all rooms of the home. The interior has been recently updated with a new paint color, accessories and furnishings to include a dining table and chairs, headboards and couch. The floor plan separates the master suite with a Queen bed; double vanity sinks and shower/tub combination from the other two bedrooms. The second bedroom has a queen bed and two windows with views of the surrounding woods. The third room has twin beds and wonderful views of the lake from both windows. The large living/dining/kitchen area is a perfect spot for gathering to prepare meals or relax watching videos. The kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and lots of pots, pans, utensils and dishware for those who love to cook and entertain. The large dock is great for sunbathing, swimming or watching the fishermen. Rent a boat or Jet Ski at the local marina and enjoy exploring the lake. The surrounding woods provide privacy and the high cliff setting offers spectacular views of the lake. Set up the lawn chairs and watch the wildlife, gaze at the stars, or watch the daily cruises of the Seneca Lake dinner boat. While this home atop the cliff offers great opportunities for adults, it may not be appropriate for children. Please note this home is on gravel road that is fairly steep. It may not be suitable for small cars with low ground clearance and/or motorcycles. Note: Smoking is not allowed in any rental property.
