Relax in this traditional Lakeland cottage in the picturesque village of Motherby, only 7 miles to Penrith and a stunning 15 minute drive to Ullswater and Keswick. A perfect location to explore the northern lakes and fells, with easy access by road. The beautiful private garden is the perfect place to unwind in peace and quiet after a day out exploring, with uninterrupted views to enjoy over your favourite tipple.
There is plenty of space for coats and boots as you enter through the back door, including a washing machine and space for drying clothes. This leads straight through to a convenient downstairs shower room.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of space, including a table and chairs. The cosy living room has many period features including a wood burning stove, perfect for warming up in the cooler months. There are shorter walks straight out of the cottage, or if you fancy a longer hike, you are close to the Caldbeck Fells and Blencathra. Lake Ullswater with its water sports and famous steamer and the market town of Keswick can both be reached in 15 minutes by car, and Penrith with its shops and restaurants is even closer. There are endless cycle routes straight out of the door, or why not visit the famous Aira Force waterfalls, just over ten minutes by car?
This lovely cottage in a quiet village setting provides the perfect getaway with so much to do and explore. It is also very accessible, being only a short distance from the M6 motorway with off road parking for up to three cars and an EV charging point.
