The historic Carriage House is part of the Stout Farm built in the early 1900s. It used to house some of the earliest automobiles ever built, with chauffeur's living quarters above the stalls. It has since been turned into a family home and is available for vacation rental. It is located on beautiful Red Cedar Lake just 5 miles south of Birchwood and 14 miles northeast of Rice Lake. This private home is just 50 feet from the waters edge with a wide covered walkway leading you from the front door, right down to the water with a large gazebo at the end for dining or just sitting and relaxing complete with table, chairs and gas grill. The dock is accessed directly from the gazebo, can hold two boats and has a swim ladder. The Boat landing is nearby. The gazebo has a railing and gate. The home has 2300 sq. ft., 4 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, living room, dining room, sunroom and large eat-in kitchen. it is fully equipped, including all linens, dishes, 3 TVs, Satellite/DVR, partial WIFI, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, A/C, and great views from every room, most with views of the beautiful lake. You may also use the paddleboat, canoe and 14' row boat(without motor), and a small area for toddlers to play in the water (sand & small rocks). A pontoon is available to rent for $500/week plus tax(first tank of gas included). This is a popular clean, 1800 acre lake, with good fishing and several islands making it unique and picturesque. It also connects to Balsam Lake on the north and Hemlock Lake on the south, making for excellent exploring and more fishing spots. There are golf courses, restaurants, shopping and other attractions nearby. See rates below. From early June to late August rentals are weekly from Saturday to Saturday. Other dates are available on a 3 day minimum basis.
