Hidden in the heart of the village, this spacious property features a centuries-old farmhouse and a generously sized, fully fenced garden, offering utmost privacy from the public road.
The property consists of two separate houses – the main house and the guesthouse – each have their own separate entrance and garden area. The co-host Maxime resides in the adjacent main house with whom you will share the swimmingpool and the rest of the garden.
The guesthouse has 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed, one bathroom, a separate toilet, and a modern open kitchen with a dining area and a living room. The groundfloor has been fully renovated in the summer of 2023.
From the kitchen door, you can step directly into your own enclosed garden area, where you can enjoy meals together or simply relax.
You can also take a dip in our shared unheated pool ( 12m x 5 m and a depth of 30 cm to 180 cm).
Tip ! >> In the morning, you can walk to the nearby bakery (-1 min walk) to get fresh croissants, pains au chocolat and other pastries!
The village is surrounded by green hills, castles and within walking range flows the Dordogne River, where you can swim, canoe, picnic, and even fish (with a permit of course).

Summary: Wonderful property and very friendly owners (Veronique and Maxime), we could find no faults at all. Even with no reviews to the gite listing to guide our choice, it was clear that it was situated within an easy drive of all the places in the Dordogne Valley we wanted to visit...and it was. The downstairs has been completely refurbished with a well-appointed kitchen and the original furniture from before the refurbishment. All three bedrooms were of a large size and, again, had all the original old French atmosphere. Each bedroom and the living room area had their own AC units which were very easy to operate and very effective. The pool was a good size and definitely got used to cool down after a long, hot day. Our day to day holiday planning was made easy as Veronique and Maxime had put together a superb booklet detailing their favourite places in the area and were able to give informative advice when talking through where we wanted to go. We should mention how close the property is to the village square and the amenities it has to offer - 30 seconds walk. We mostly used the reasonably priced restaurant, the boulangerie and the pharmacy but there is also a butcher, little supermarket and corner shop. We would have no hesitation in visiting again, Mark and Alison.
