Nestled between the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Massif des Maures, Grimaud is a charming village with a medieval character still present. Perched on a hill, the first thing you see when you arrive is his castle. Built in the 11th century, this feudal building, with its imposing ruins, has a magnificent view of the coast and the wooded hills of the Maures massif. Rich of a heritage still preserved, Grimaud shelters a succession of pretty cobbled and flowery streets, small squares, arcades and restored old houses. In the old village, you can also discover the beautiful church Saint-Michel of the end of the 12th century, of Provencal Romanesque style, which houses a fresco dated 1850 representing Saint Michel, Saint Pierre and Saint Barthélemy, as well as contemporary stained glass windows made in 1975 by the jeweler Jacques Gautier.
