This garden studio has been updated with new flooring, Beautyrest mattress on a full-sized bed for up to two guests, a refurbished claw-foot tub with shower overhead, flatscreen television with DirectTV, wifi, and a serene sitting area outside its front door.
Also we have a large parking area onsite, very important as it’s nearly impossible to park in-town during all of Nevada City’s wildly popular events.
The property is surrounded by towering sequoia red wood trees and mature landscaping.
There is a fridge, but no kitchen. The pool makes for a serene and peaceful setting, however it is currently closed to travelers. Please note this unit also does not have access to the hot tub.

Summary: Great location which is why I would give it 5 stars for that only. Studio apartment is near shops and restaurants. Negatives: You can hear footsteps and use of microwave and bathroom in house above. Bathroom needs updating, particularly the toilet, which is super low to the ground. Bathtub is on a platform, which makes it tricky to enter and exit. If you are elderly, this could be a problem. The cold water was turned off at the wall entry. Took a little while to figure why there was no cold water. Reason why - it leaks into the tub so you really need to turn them off at the wall. The description says shower but not entirely true. The shower head needs a mount to hang it without holding it. Shampoo was not included, just shower gel - which doesn't work well on the hair. TV - although listed as a smart tv - which was nice. The size of the TV is super small and across the room. Would have been nicer to have it mounted on the wall at the foot of the bed. Entry directions not clear at all. Thankfully, someone called to walk me through the property to where I was staying. Says to park in the lower lot but it is behind a fence so you would not recognize this upon arrival. Signage would help along with the title of the room you rent (there are other rentals on property. Heater is in the wall - you start this by pushing the buttons - another thing that could have been listed in the arrival instructions.
