Cellarsbend Vineyard Welcomes You Home! Set on our private 11 acre property, Cellarsbend Vineyard is located on the sought after Naramata bench and overlooks the Okanagan Lake. Upon approaching the property, you will immediately notice the private resort feel, as you enter through the gates and make your way up your private driveway through the vineyard. The spectacular 4,600 square foot modern log home is a stunning centerpiece nestled in the middle of a 4.5 acres of vineyard and 0.5 acres of orchard. Parking will be easy for you and your group as you choose from our spacious garage, garage pad or our paved parking circle which offers plenty of room for vehicles to turn around. Our guests who enjoy the great road riding or the fabulous mountain biking in the area will appreciate the large garage to store their bikes and other toys. After arriving, you will be tempted to jump into our salt water pool/hot tub or take a walk through our orchard, which hosts various fruit trees including peaches, plums, apples, apricots, pears and nectarines! The Cellarsbend House Our guests continue to comment on their first impressions of the house as they enter, which can be summed up by this famous quote: 'Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.' With 30 foot log beam peaks inside, the detailed knee braces and traditional joinery of this log home gives its guests a stunning and warm welcome. Through the front door, there is a large 6'x15' foyer to accommodate all of your coats, shoes and handbags, along with a long leather bench, table, full mirror and coat hooks. The double French doors from the foyer spill out into the common area and open into the northern area of the house. On this end of the main level, you will find a formal dining room that comfortably seats 12 with a long chef's table and large barley twisted chairs - fit for royalty! If you choose to get away from your group, enjoy some quiet time in the 400 sqf living room. As one of our favourite rooms in the house, the living room offers a spectacular view of the lake, vineyard and surrounding forest. Sit on the large leather couch or one of the large leather loungers as you listen to music from the iPod stereo system and enjoy a glass of wine or an afternoon tea. From the living room you will find a set of stairs tucked into the wall that lead the way up to the loft (Pinot Noir Bedroom). With an enchanting sloped ceiling, wrap around built-in library and two beds (one king and one double), you will find that the charm and fun of the loft naturally draws children of all ages up to it. The other two rooms on the northern end of the house include a half bath and a large master bedroom (Chardonnay Bedroom) with a 5-piece ensuite, including a jetted jucuzzi tub with heated floors. Included in this master bedroom is a king-sized pillow top bed, a 50 inch flat panel TV with full cable packaging, and a walk-in closet room that is vast at almost 80 sqf! On more than one occasion, it has been used as a nice quiet baby room. From the master bedroom, you will notice an additional door to the outside deck that begins and wraps around the entire side and back of the house straight to the outdoor eating area, lawn, pool and hot tub. This provides a great point of entry for guests who are coming out of the pool and hot tub and want their own private entrance. Walking through the main level, you will also see the great expanse of the southern side of the house, which hosts our kitchen, nook, family room, full bathroom, additional bedroom (Merlot Bedroom), games room and storage boot room. With an open living concept, the architecture of our kitchen, nook area and family room is warm and inviting with high wooden beams running throughout. Fit for a chef, and roomy enough for a whole team of chefs, you will find the kitchen is equipped with all of the tools necessary for creating gourmet meals. Often maximizing vacation time means minimizing grocery shopping - with that in mind, we have 2 fridges (with attached freezers) for you to use. You will also find that the kitchen has a double oven, which will help whether you are cooking for a small group or a large household! We also have a wine fridge, microwave, dishwasher and other common appliances like blenders, egg beaters, coffee machine, etc. If there is a special kitchen appliance that you need, just ask. Within this open concept, you can enjoy your meals with your family at our kitchen table that seats 6 people and boasts spectacular and sweeping views of the vineyard, lake and orchard. If you choose to, you can also opt to put your feet up and relax at the 8 person outdoor dining area or enjoy the two other sitting areas on the upper deck. When it's time to relax, watch a movie on the 50' flat screen TV while relaxing as a family on the giant leather sectional. Feel free to peruse our large DVD library, or enjoy the full cable. For those who have more energy or enjoy a family tournament, the games room is situated next to the family room and hosts an ever-popular burr oak foosball table. You can even have the option of closing the games room door when the competition gets too loud, or you need that extra break from the kids! Finally, finishing off the main floor is a private second bedroom (Merlot Bedroom) that has two twin beds, and one double bed. This inviting room, features warm 12 ft tall fir wood beams and boasts a vineyard view. Guests of this bedroom will appreciate having their own full bathroom with heated floors and shower. Next to the bedroom is what we call our storage boot room - a flex room that joins to the garage and provides enough room for all the guests skis, beach accessories, hunting gear, shoes, coats and any other belongings. As you tour the main level, you will see a set of wooden stairs going down into the spacious walk-out lower level. The stairs spill into the other family room that is nestled in the basement and provides guests with a second option to get away from the group. Another giant leather sectional sits across from the 42' flat screen TV that has full cable and a DVD player. From the family room, you can access the outdoor pool and hot tub area. The lower level walk out also has a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination. Next to the bathroom you will find the Bordeaux Bedroom, which features a queen bed, bedside table, 28' flat screen TV and spectacular vineyard and forest views. You can also access the outside lower deck and backyard by a private door within this room. Walking through the lower level, you will find a large second master bedroom, called the Cabernet Bedroom. This cozy room features a luxurious King-size pillowtop bed, a bench and table, a 28' flat screen TV, and a large squires chest for your clothing and storage needs. You will be happy to note that our main floor is concrete based which quiets the noise passed between floors and enhances your sleep experience! Within the open area of the lower level, we also have a trundle day bed that extends to comfortably sleep two. This bed has a large wooden cabinet closet next to it for your clothing. In addition to the bedrooms, bathroom, family room and pool walkthrough, we also have front end washing machine and dryer for your use. Laundry detergent is also supplied. The Outdoors Lush gardens & orchards surround the house with dozens of varieties of roses, vines, and orchard trees. In addition to our fruit trees listed above, we also have raspberry and blackberry bushes that our guests can enjoy. At the back of the house, the upper deck spills out onto grassed, flat and manicured lawn of approximately 3,000 sqf. Perfect for children or family sports, this area has views of the forest, lake, orchard and vineyard and is well situated beside the pool area. Our outdoor area hosts a 18'x36' kidney shaped salt water pool with a shallower end for children and a deep end. Surrounded by a stone patio of approximately 600 sqf, you will find ample chaise loungers chairs, umbrella tables, and side tables. Relaxing poolside, you will be able to enjoy the views of the flower garden and this stunning property and cool yourself off in the pool on those hot Okanagan days. You will appreciate that our pool is kept at approximately 85 degrees from early May through until the end of September. On cooler days and during the winter months, you can enjoy the large 6 person hot tub, which boasts spectacular views and the glow of the city lights of Penticton. Off the pool deck is an outdoor bathroom, plus small fridge and bar sink. The bathroom is complete with a shower, toilet, sink, and benches. The outdoor bathroom is open from May 1st to Oct. 1st.
