We love hosting! We want our guests to enjoy a five-star experience. Stay in our newly renovated home nestled in a Cedar Forest. On rainy mornings, the scent of cedar envelopes you, invoking pure relaxation. Enjoy our renovated and well-equipped kitchen, bathroom, and spacious living room. The Cedar Cabin Idyllwild sleeps two guests in creature comfort in the master bedroom Queen bed with a super comfy daybed and a roll-away cot for additional guests in the living room. Enjoy cooking a meal in our well-equipped kitchen or BBQ on the classic Weber grill and dine in the minimalist, relaxing mid-century surroundings. Flat screen SMART TV includes HBO and PBS Master Pass with Roku and WiFi. Read a book in the cozy nook, enjoy a hike in the beautiful surrounding trails, rock climb, mountain bike or visit local art galleries and relax afterward in the private hot Jacuzzi. Organic, sulfate-free shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided for your convenience. Idyllwild is also a Mecca for rock climbers, mountain bikers, hikers, nature lover, and artists. Visit us to refresh your body, mind, and soul. Traveling with your pups? We love traveling with our own four-leggeds and we welcome your well-mannered pups to stay at our Cedar Cabin. There is a $25 per pup fee; maximum of two well-mannered pups. We share our wild mountain space with Bobcats, Mountain Lions, Coyotes and other animals for which our domestic dogs are prey. So be watchful and remember, pups cannot be left in the house or yard unsupervised. Luckily, there are tons of fun things to do with them - our Mayor Max (yep, our Mayor is a dog, for real, a Golden Retriever) makes sure we're one of the most pup-friendly towns around! Whether your bringing you fur babes or just your two-legged bestie, we've provided a few restaurant and hiking options below. Our favorite restaurants are Mile High Cafe for breakfast (they open at 7 AM and have a great covered patio that's dog-friendly) and for lunch we love Idylogy, a gorgeous deck nestled in a forested canyon with lots of healthy options (and 'relaxed,' dog friendly service); for healthy vegan options we love Plant Food Supper Club (dog friendly inside) and for a local brew and watching the game, Idyllwild Brewpub with a fabulous dog friendly patio. For a romantic dinner, Ferros Italian is excellent - their patio is next to Strawberry Creek with a gorgeous fireplace and truly unique menu items! If you love to cook or make your own food; you can shop at the Village Market, they have fresh produce, meats, and a good beer & wine selection, too. For hiking with pups, visit the Ranger Station in town or follow our 'lead,' we use the All Trails app to find local trails - Ernie Maxwell is an easy, dog-friendly hike with beautiful views, we also like to take long walks in our neighborhood with our pups. And, pups love romping around our fenced 1/2 acre yard digging holes, chasing squirrels and birds, too! We leave a dark blue towel in the bathroom closet for pups, to wipe their paws dry them if it rains or snows. There is also a yellow blanket in the bedroom closet that you can use to cover furniture if your pup likes to snuggle with you. We're accessible if you have questions or would like recommendations. We love our little artsy, outdoorsey, peaceful town 'on the Hill,' and we hope you grow to love it, too!
