Summary: I will start with the positives of this casita. It is in a very convenient and safe location. Lots of good pots and pans are supplied. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding and towels are clean and plentiful. As mentioned by others, the host Eugenia is very responsive to any needs. The appliances all work, even the washer and dryer which are very old. However, there is no way six people could stay comfortably. The sofa which folds down would not be comfortable and there is only a couple feet between it and the TV, just enough room to walk. The cutlery needs to be upgraded, there was rust on some, only four glasses, four cups etc. The kitchen counter is literally falling apart, and very little counter space. The shower is ‘interesting’. There is hot water, but only a trickle, if you want more pressure it turns cold. We were there in December and the casita was very cold. A heater is supplied but you have to be beside it to feel any heat, very inadequate. It is a two block walk to the beach, including crossing a fairly busy intersection, impossible to do in three minutes. The doors and walls of this unit are not clean, the taps are old and rusty. Perhaps a stay in warmer weather might be more pleasant, the front yard is nice to sit in.
