Positive: The apartment itself is good – clean (except for the poorly mopped floor), well-equipped with a kitchen and washing machine, The location listed on Booking isn’t exactly where the apartment is, it’s still fairly close and just a 3-minute walk from the beach. However, the Booking listing is misleading in a few important ways...
Negative: The mattress was incredibly hard – probably the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on, like lying on the floor with a sheet The shower had very weak water pressure There is No Wi-Fi. *But the biggest issue was the misleading information on Booking.com* This apartment is managed by a real estate agency based in nearby San Foca, and they seem to own a few properties in the area. After booking, I received a message saying I had to come to their office in San Foca to pick up the key, and only then head to the apartment in Roca. If you're traveling by car, it's not a huge deal. But if, like me, you're relying on public transportation – and there are only 3-4 buses a day – you'll have to get off in San Foca, walk with your luggage to Roca (about 40 minutes in the heat), or wait hours for the next bus. To make things worse, the message also stated that the booking price does not include bed linens or towels – and that these would cost €10 per person. In my experience, linens are a basic expectation, even in cheap hostels - and it wasn't so cheap... After receiving this message, I tried to cancel the booking due to this unexpected and misleading information. I messaged the agency via Booking.com and got no reply. Only the next day, after reaching out through WhatsApp, I got a response. They refused to cancel the reservation, but we reached a compromise: they agreed to meet me at the apartment with the key and provide linens and towels at no extra charge. While I appreciate that gesture, these are basic things that should be included by default – not offered as a “favor” to prevent cancellation.
Summary: Nice apartment, but poor transparency and added costs ruin the experience
