The apartment Casa Teide is located in the very well-maintained complex Parque Santiago 1, directly by the sea and the beautiful beach of Las Americas. The pool is heated in winter and is only a few steps from the flat. All shops, restaurants, hairdressers, banks and cash machines are within walking distance. Also within the complex there is a supermarket and some shops, car rental, restaurants. The property has two bedrooms, both bedrooms have a double bed, additionally there is an extra bed for a fifth person which we can provide in the living area.
The highlight is the large terrace with sun loungers and seating area as well as a small private garden. The cosy living area has a living room sofa and a dining corner, which is directly adjacent to the kitchen. In the living room there is a flat screen TV with satellite channels and a small stereo system. Internet is available free of charge via Wifi.
The kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven, fridge and freezer, microwave, as well as toaster, kettle and coffee machine. There is also a washing machine with iron and ironing board.
The flat is ideal for a bathing and beach holiday, and it is also ideal for a long-term holiday. The complex has a very nice pool area. The pool is heated in the winter months. The sun loungers by the pool are available for a fee. There is also a bistro by the pool for snacks and ice cream (for a fee).

Summary: At arrival the entry code for the fence was not working. The code for the key box was good. I have asked if the accommodation was wheelchair accessible. The owner replied with the information that the building was. He forgot to tell me there are 2! steps in front of our appartement. Thankfully I was able to reach the bedrooms and the patio but the bathroom was way to small. I could not fit thru the door with my small manual wheelchair.The furniture was in "ok" order, the wifi was terrible and there were cobwebs underneath the counters and in almost every corner. The cabinets under the tv were damaged. The garden was just a patio with a gravel patch attached to it. It is a shame that people use that gravel to throw away their sigaret buds.All and all, it's a good appartement for an able bodied person. I would not recommend this appartement for anybody with a physical disability.For the next tenant, I hope they will level out the washing machine. They just got a new washer but when it starts to centrifuge it will walks all over the kitchen. We only used it once because we had to physically hold it in place/
