Positive: I hesitate to write a review, because truthfully, it is an absolute gem of a place, and I'd rather not too many people know about it. But I did promise to write a review, so here it is. The property is a little quirky, but in a good way, and some items are not brand new. That describes me pretty well, so absolutely no complaints. But here are the good points: * The hostess--kind, and friendly. * The (single) beds. Really comfortable. * The dining area at the front of the house. Perfect for breakfasts in the early sunshine, and a nice spot for barbeques or dining al-fresco as the sun goes down. * The light in the house, as the sun floods in during the mornings. When we got up the first morning, the light captivated us, and we fell in love with the place from that moment. * The pool! Private, and big enough for us. Never cold, and with sunlight from the early morning to quite late on (7pm in August). We had two full days there (3 nights) and despite being beach fiends, spent both days lounging around the pool instead of going to the coast we adore. It's really that good. We would love to visit again, for a longer stay. Fingers crossed nobody reads this review...
Negative: Part of the quirkiness is that the house is built on the side of a hill, so there are steps within the property as you move into the kitchen, and then down to the bathroom and shower/toilet. Not an issue for us (in fact we loved it), but if you find steps difficult, this may not be the holiday property for you.
Summary: Stunning pool, beautiful light streaming in during the mornings. We loved it, and hope to go back.
