Positive: The house is well equipped and in great condition, but the story here is the view. This is one of those rare cases where the listing pictures are gorgeous, but the property itself exceeds them significantly. The view from the house is breathtaking. It is not in a central location, but I'd go even farther away from the city for such a view :) Moreover, since there are a lot of things to see all throughout the island, and not only in Funchal, being away from the city is not always a bad thing.
Negative: If you arrive when its dark, note that the roads may be a little challenging to drive.
