Positive: We thought the check in / check out process was very easy, a good guide book was provided and the house had everything we needed, we felt very relaxed having our dog with us and we liked the traditional style of the house. We visited in the winter so we did not use the outside space but it was a great area and would be fantastic in the summer as a great social space and private. Once the house had warmed up it was cosy for a winter let. Beds were comfortable and nice bedding / towels. Nice area and good for dog walking, a bit further out of the main town than what we thought but an easy drive and everything accessible.
Negative: We felt the heating could have been put on prior to arrival as the house was very very cold but the heating system was very efficient, we went out and when we came back a few hours later the house was warmed through. We were only 4 people, I think we may gave struggled with the 1 bathroom if 6 of us as quite small but fine for what we needed and it was clean/modern. Quite a few dogs barking during the night, we are from Portugal so we know this can happen anywhere and not much can be done.
Summary: Relaxed stay over New Year in a charming Portuguese house - would definitely return
