Summary: The house was very charming; we loved all of the southwest style decorations and it had a very cozy vibe to it. The hot tub was wonderful at night and we enjoyed seeing all the stars without any light pollution. It was the perfect mountain location; very close to Taos Ski Valley for summer hiking and riding the chair lift, and fairly close to Taos as well. The house was well stocked and we appreciated the board games in the pantry closet. Being from Chicago were it is hot and humid at night in the summer, I was a bit worried about no air conditioning, but there was cool mountain air at night if you had the windows open and we slept very well. The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with. Note that in the summer a car is fine to go down the road leading to the house (we had rented an SUV, but we saw many local residents with cars), but in the winter you should definitely have 4 wheel drive. I highly recommend this property!!
