Listen, see and catch the ocean breeze from this fully modernised retro beach house, prime location just a quick flat walk from the magnificent white sands and dog friendly Carrickalinga Beach situated at the Gold Coast Drive End.
Enjoy spectacular sunsets, a palette of colours, red, orange and pink streaked across the evening sky whilst enjoying a meal or glass of wine on the Front Deck complete with a covered roof, Weber BBQ and 8 seat outdoor table for easy alfresco entertaining.
Upstairs you will find an open plan living area, with a modern well-appointed kitchen featuring European appliances including a coffee machine .There are 2 bedrooms, (1 Queen and 1 Double) both offering lovely views of the ocean and rolling hills and ceiling fans. Entertain and dine with a 8 person dining setting and ample bench space, moving to the lounge that offers a flat-screen TV with a DVD player and a 5-seat lounge suite. For your comfort a wood fire upstairs provides cozy warmth in winter and ceiling fans and a split-system air conditioner to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter - or open the windows and enjoy the refreshing sea breezes that flow through the house.
There is also a bathroom with Shower, toilet and washing machine.
Downstairs you will find another 2 bedrooms (1 Queen and 2 x Bunk Beds) with pedestal fans. For added convenience there is also a kitchenette with toaster, kettle and bar fridge.
The second open plan living/ dining area is complete with a comfy large 6-8 seater sofa, 2 Bean Bags, flat screen TV, DVD player and tape deck.
There is also a large 6 person dining setting.
There is also a bathroom with Shower, toilet and ironing board and iron.
There is an External Staircase only to access both upper and lower levels.
Please not there is an external security camera at this property for security reasons only.
A large rear deck offers additional space for gatherings while watching the kids and pets play in the fully fenced lawned yard including a dog run.

Summary: We were unfortunately very disappointed with this property which was of fairly basic standard and significantly over priced. The shower and sink in the lower floor bathroom drained very poorly to the extent we couldnt use the shower as it flooded within 1-2 minutes. There wasnt always enough hot water even though the property accomodates 8 and we only had 6 guests. The upstairs wooden door flew open in the wind needing it to be locked to keep closed. There was an outside-only staircase (no indoor staircase) which was terrible in the recent stormy weather and was also very slippery when carrying my old dog up and down the stairs. The description stated an outdoor access to upstairs but wasnt clear that there wasnt an indoor staircase. Some of the BBQ burners were corroded and unsafe to use. There was no outdoor undercover shelter for the dog from the rain. The itchy bomb tree in the backyard was unfortunately a spot under which my dog liked to lay for shade and i also made the mistake of sitting on a bench badly positioned directly under this tree. For the premium tariff paid I would have expected a much better quality of accommodation. The property looked better in photos than real life. Living space was cramped and bedrooms tiny. Overall disappointing but good location and still enjoyed the family time.
