Positive: The location is perfect: very private and quiet, with stunning views all around (mountains behind, sea in front and surrounded by olive groves). We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the comfortable balcony. The decked pool area below is generously sized. A short drive to Agia Pelagia with beautiful beach and plenty of options to eat out. Only 20 minutes drive from Heraklion airport. Well provisioned mini supermarket in walking distance (steep hills).
Negative: There was nothing we didn’t like. The property was enough for us as a family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers). Just a few things to know: The upstairs bedrooms are accessed by a narrow winding staircase and one bedroom is off another - not a problem for our teenagers. The kitchen is basic but is plenty enough for hot weather catering and we ate out most evenings. We hired a car for the week and would say this was essential. The property was one of very few available to us within our budget range for our needs. So, whilst there may be others with even better facilities, we would have needed to pay more -I feel we got what we paid for in comparison.
