6 Bedroom House in Fremont

Canvasback Lodge is located on Lake Poygan in Waushara County in central Wisconsin in the small town of Tustin. The name Canvasback originated back in the 1800's when lake Poygan was considered the Canvasback (a diving duck) Capital of the world when the lake was much more like a marsh than the beautiful lake it is today.
We have great sandy swimming right in front of the lodge, incredible fishing, and thousands of miles of shoreline for any boater. Lake Poygan is part of the Winnebago upriver system. We have boating access to Fremont, Winneconne, Orihula, Oshkosh and all of Lake Winnebago. We have over 10 bars / restaurants that you can access by boat within in a 20 minute boat ride. There are several in-lake swimming sand bars where hundreds of boats will meet out on a beautiful day in the middle of the lake.
Canvasback Lodge used to be a large sports bar called Big City Bar & Grill built in 2000. We converted it into our family's vacation paradise in 2019. We have 6 large bedrooms which sleeps 20, a 2,000 sf great room area loaded with lake-view windows. The great room offers a pool table, foosball, dartboard, mini basketball hoop and 2 different bar areas. A large screen TV with all of the streaming channels and WIFI is available.
There is a large dining / multi-purpose room just to the East of the great room. An extra refrigerator and freezer is also available in our westside service room.
On the bathrooms, we have a men's room that has 2 urinals, one toilet and one walk-in shower with 2 sinks. We also have a women's bathroom with 2 toilets and a tub-surround shower, a large vanity and 2 sinks. These were converted over from the former sports bar and are completely renovated. There is also a washer and drier at the end of the west bedroom hallway.
We have 3 permanent docks for all of your boat docking needs. We have lighted sand volleyball and spike ball areas. We also include 2 kayaks, 1 stand-up paddle board, a large swim pad and one (2 person) canoe. We also have side yard that has a large grass area that is perfect for soccer matches and wiffle ball to mention just a few uses. We have a large concrete patio area that has a covered bar and shaded lounge area that over looks the lake and the sand play areas mentioned above. We have about 115' of lake frontage which has a boardwalk across the front. We have swim ladders both on the board walk and on the end of the dock.
The fishing - the Walleye action picks up in late march with the Wolf River being about a 10 minute boat trip away. Then in late April, the Whitebass fishing picks up and people travel from across the Midwest to catch a limitless supply of this aggressive eater. The lake walleye and northern pike action start in late may and runs through August. Lastly, the winter fishing access continues with walleye, whitebass and northern pike from first ice til spring returns. Crappie, bluegill and perch fishing go all summer long both in the channels and in the Wolf River.
There is a great supply of marshes and lake-cane waterfowl hunting throughout the fall too. There are many different levels of golf available throughout the area. The Fox River Mall is also only about 25 minutes away which has everything you should ever need.
We do have a local gas station/hardware store in Poy Sippi that is 5 miles away which has an incredible selection of almost everything too and a General Dollar for most of your shopping / grocery needs.

Summary: My family and I had a wonderful time at Canvasback! So many things to do inside and out. Firewood was included and ample which is always appreciated. Plenty of room to spread out. Beautiful lake views and the splash pad was so fun for swimming.
