Constructed in 2014 Cantilever Cabin at Cedar View is a glorified French Gîte completely trimmed out in western red cedar. Cantilevered over a massive boulder the cabin is Cedar View’s tribute to famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright with a twist of Swedish sculptured trim giving a bit of Viking flair. Cantilever Cabin at Cedar View is nestled against a wooded area to the south, part way up Pettit Ridge, & just off Pettit Bay Road on the quiet private Grand View Lane. The cabin gives you beautiful lake view sunsets yet is very close to the entrance of Pettit Bay Landing, a quick trip to Tahlequah, the scenic Illinois River, Cherokee Ancient Village & Museum, and capital of the Cherokee Nation. Cantilever Cabin Studio sleeps 5 comfortably with a 10in ‘Real King Bed’, full sofa sleeper, 10in memory foam twin bench bed for a total bed capacity of five (Six if 2 are small) all fitted with fresh bedding. The vaulted ceiling and efficient open design gives guest the feeling of space. The deck gives you a sense of being in a tree house as it wraps 3/4s way around, partially covered and cantilevered out looking west to beautiful year-round sunsets and winter lake water view. Cantilever's walk-in shower has endless hot water from the tankless water heater and oversize bath sheets in the bathroom. The Kitchenette is loaded with frig, microwave, griddle, blender, hot plate, crock-pot, utensils, and full sink. The no-fuss wood floors are sealed in polyurethane for simple clean up of anything that might get spilled. With Cantilever’s on-site laundry facility there is no need of spending valuable holiday time searching for a place to wash clothes. Next to the comfy queen bed is a coded safe to lock up your walllet & such when you head for the lake. On the deck is the large private hotub with with space for everyone. There you also have chairs, table and next to it a charcoal grill and s'mores fire pit. After a busy day of fun kick back, sweat out some stress in the Sauna, recuperate while soaking in the Privat Hot Tub, and enjoy s’mores while gathered around the fire pit. You can even enjoy the inside fireplace ambiance winter or summer since you can control the heat separate from the fire view. Cedar View property sitting on the hillside of Pettit Ridge has four distinct terraces.The lowest fourth terrace is raw hill side with a buffering of trees and dense tree growth to the south and north of the property giving you a private secluded fell. Cantilever Cabin is located on the south end of the third terrace with parking next to the cabin and Weber grill. Just across the way you will find the sauna & on-site laundry facility so there is no need of spending valuable holiday time searching for a place to wash and dry clothes during extended stays. Cedar View’s Källström Swedish Dry Sauna reaches 120 in no time and goes up to about 155 so you can sweat out your stress in our pleasurably relaxing Swedish sauna. When it's time to head back to the grind we make it easy on you. Other than doing up dishes & taking out the trash, don't worry about doing up the cabin laundry. Simply leave the beds undone and toss the used towels in the shower floor as we'll take care of getting it ready for the next guest. We want you to head home relaxed. Before you arrived we Ozonated to make sure your stay is as healthy as possible germ wise. Ozonating essentially kills all bacteria, spores, and micro organisms that you don't want. It also kills any type of bedbugs that might have hitched a ride on luggage. Our property doesn't have them nor do we want them so we make sure they do not have a suitable host environment. Cantilever Cabin as well as all our cabins are Ozone Sanitized and we also use natural ammonia based cleaners rather than chlorine which has far more negative side effects
