This is an 11 acre compound on 850'+ of pristine Puget Sound waterfront (including tidelands), featuring the only private dock on Camano island. Abundant sea and wildlife include some of the best crabbing in Puget Sound (in season only), clamming on our own beach, fishing off the dock or out front in Elger Bay (nearly a guaranteed catch of a pile perch or rock sole with a hook and a piece of meat...also pink salmon, cutthroat for the more avid anglers), daily bald eagle, deer, otter, and grey whale sightings (whales in late winter). Beachcomb for miles along a beautiful shoreline, enjoying views of Mt. Rainier, the Olympics, Hat and Whidbey Islands. Main house is 3 bedrooms, including a bunk room with two full and two twin beds, plus two additional twin mattresses that can be used for kids, and queen beds in the other rooms, plus a separate guest house with one queen bed, living room, and full bath (perfect for grandma and grandpa). There are also three bunk beds and three extra mattresses (total of nine twin beds) in the 'Bunkhouse' which is a separate finished garage space located south of the main house and on the bulkhead (no bathroom though but the kids love it...and the Xbox that goes with it).
Enjoy days exploring the property (look for the hidden rope swing!) and adjacent Camano Island state park, boating, kayaking and canoeing (with our two sea kayaks, Livingston Dingy, and canoe), swimming (brrr!), clamming, crabbing and fishing, then retire around the enormous seaside firepit to cook s'mores and tell ghost stories.
Off Season (October 15 through May 15) the main house only is available as we have a caretaker in the lower guest house for the winter. Also, the floating portion of the dock is not in the water during the winter months.
Summer high season (6/15 to Labor Day) we request a four night minimum stay.
