A superb, Grade II listed stone-built property, situated in a delightful position in the rural village of Ipstones, on the western edge of the National Park. This exceptional property has been skilfully created from the conversion of a lovely old barn to provide spacious accommodation of a very high standard. Care has been taken to retain much of the original charm and character of the property including solid old beams and exposed stone. The accommodation is upside down to take advantage of the light and the barn's splendid natural features. The magnificent sitting room has a vaulted, beamed ceiling which is open to the eaves, while the second sitting room features a double bed, so you can relax with a good film. A rather special base for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year.
Located on the western fringes of the Peak District in spectacular moorland countryside, the attractive village of Ipstones sits between the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne. With a post office, village shop and pubs serving food, this little settlement is a well-served base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. The impressive scenery is excellent for walking and cycling and offers miles of woodland trails and moorland hikes for all levels of ability. Dovedale and the limestone Churnet Valley are within easy driving distance, as is the Manifold Trail. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Lyme Park are also very close by.
