The Aubrey is one of three gorgeous self-catering holiday cottages sensitively converted from Croft Cottage - a Grade II Listed 17th Century building - centrally located in the beautiful market town of Bakewell.
Retaining its original character, The Aubrey now offers the ultimate bolthole for up to six guests. Luxurious style and modern facilities have been thoughtfully inserted.
The Aubrey benefits from a generous open plan reception space comprising a living area with comfy sofas and a dining zone, offering plenty of space for everyone to relax and dine together. A fully equipped kitchen is next to the living area.
The Aubrey has three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are en suite; a king-size bedroom and a twin room. There is a further double bedroom and family bathroom with bath.
The Aubrey is the biggest cottage in the collection and is ideal for large families or groups of friends wanting to explore the delights of Bakewell and beyond.
Bakewell is the gem of the Peak District and dates back to Anglo Saxon times. Famous for Bakewell pudding, Bakewell is a foodies dream with a plethora of award-winning restaurants and pubs as well as superb walking and cycling, a fantastic golf course, a good selection of shops and a marvellous Monday market.
Set out on foot or bike to explore the many countryside walks and rides on the doorstep. Bakewell Station (The Monsal Trail) is a five minute walk from the cottage. The Midland Railway line was closed in 1968, with the former railway line being the popular Monsal Trail.
Set among the rolling valleys and peaks of Derbyshire, The Aubrey is perfect if you're looking for fresh air and fine walks. Dovedale, one of the most beautiful valleys in England with its famed stepping stones, is not to be missed. Or venture a little further into the Peak District for more adventurous hikes.
