Skipsea 1 mile. This attractive, single-storey barn conversion adjoins the owner's property on the edge of the small village of Ulrome, one mile from the coastal village of Skipsea. With all ground floor accommodation, it provides a lovely romantic retreat for couples wanting to explore the coastline, discover the Wolds and spend time visiting the large seaside resorts of Bridlington, Hornsea and Scarborough. Offering a bright and cheerful open plan living area with exposed timbers, there is a well-equipped modern kitchen, a dining table and comfortable seating set around a cosy woodburner. Furnished to a high standard throughout, the pretty bedroom leads off from the sitting area and the fully-tiled shower room has a large overhead shower. It offers a fine promenade, ornamental gardens and Hornsea Mere, the largest glacial lake in Yorkshire, where one can partake in watersports, fishing and boating. It is an easy drive to the stately homes of Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and Burton Constable Hall, all worth visiting and a must is a day trip to the beautiful historic City of York.
