Spoccia is located in Valle Cannobina just 13 km from Lake Maggiore where Cannobio (with its characteristic Sunday morning market) and Val Vigezzo (also known as Valle dei Pittori) is located.
Cà du Sulfar is located a few steps from the parking lot along the characteristic main road built entirely in piodos. Completely renovated two years ago, special attention was given to the ceiling beams, to the veranda to have one breakfast with magnificent views of the valley and the wooden staircase that leads upstairs.
Cà du Sulfar is built on two floors: the first floor kitchen with oven and microwave, living room with fireplace and a small utility room with washing machine. From the wooden staircase leads to a veranda with a micro museum of traditional tools Spoccia. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (one double and the other with two single beds) and bathroom with shower.
Since there are no shops in Spoccia it is advisable to reach the country with a good supply of food and non-food items.
On Thursday afternoons (around 2.30 pm) you can buy fruit and vegetables from a street vendor directly at the parking lot; also on Thursdays in the morning there is also a bus service that reaches Cannobio with return towards noon
From Spoccia there are several paths that lead to mountain pastures and panoramic points
You can make day trips / excursions to Verbania, to visit the fantastic park of Villa Taranto, Stresa with its Art Nouveau hotels, from where you can visit the Borromean Islands, Orta San Giulio, from the magical medieval atmosphere
From the stations of Verbania and Stresa are easily reached by train Milan and Novara.
