This executive home, offered for rent in 2020 for the first time, is located on both a golf course and the shores of Long Lake. It is the perfect entertaining place for families and reunions with its 4 levels and bunkhouse. The house has 9 bedroom all having their own private bath as well as multiple gathering areas and 4 kitchens. Just walk out the front door to the first tee of the golf course with bar and restaurant at the clubhouse. The house is located on beautiful 19 mile Long Lake across from 12 miles of undeveloped Boy Scout shoreline. The lake has great fishing, water sports along with 7 bars/restaurants on it’s shores. Walk or ride our golf cart to the waters edge to relax, fish or take a cruise. Two covered shore stations hold a 25 ft Premier pontoon (available to rent) and a second a V hull lift for a fishing or speedboat. Water toys for your use include – youth kayak, adult paddleboard, two tubes, canoe, lillypad raft and beach towels. Or play yard games (bocce, soccer, croquet, badminton) and roast s’mores over the fire pit in the large flat grassy front yard overlooking the first fairway. Main Floor: Relax on the open main floor with its gourmet kitchen, long granite bar, LR with Dish TV and fireplace and dining room. Sliding doors open to a large deck overlooking the lake with dining and bar areas. The main floor master BR has lake views, sitting area, Dish TV, full bath with shower and jacuzzi tub. The main kitchen has Wolf stove with large griddle, a separate ice maker, wine cooler and is stocked with all the utensils, dishes, coffee maker, blender, toaster, glassware, serving pieces, napkins, paper towels, soaps and many condiments. On the deck off the kitchen and dining room there is a gas grill connected to the house. The main floor also has laundry room, office, guest bathroom and mud room.
Second Floor: A spiral staircase leads to a second level sitting room with lakeview, wet bar, linen closet and 4 lovely private suites – Rose, Tower, Golf and Lake rooms with views of the lake or the golf course.
Third Floor: The third floor has the privacy of its own apartment, with full kitchen and bathroom with shower and sofa/bed. Kids will enjoy the two cubby hole rooms for playing or sleeping (not included in bedroom count). A stairway to the top of the house leads to a queen bed.
Lower Level: The lower level is a walkout overlooking the lake with driveway access and private entrance from the lakeside. This level opens to a large rec room with fireplace, tv, bar, pool/ping pong table and dining area. This level has a separate room with a full kitchen. There are two bedrooms on this level. One has a queen bed and the second has two queen beds. Both bedrooms have full baths. Lower level patio has weber charcoal grill.
Bunkhouse: For larger groups the bunkhouse over the garage will be open. It has full kitchen and dining table, couches, Dish TV, bathroom with shower and 3 queen beds. There is no a/c here but many windows and cool night breezes and fans keep it comfortable.
All bedrooms and bathrooms are stocked with towels, sheets, toilet paper, soap and shampoo. The linen closet has cleaning supplies, ironing board and iron and baby crib and chair. There are lots of children and adult books, puzzles, toys and games. The 4 kitchens are adequately furnished with what you may need.
Rental Pricing and Requirements: The rental pricing is $1000/ night or $7000/week for 8 adults. Each additional renter is $300 per stay. The maximum number of renters is 18. There is no charge for children under 7 but they count toward the number of renters. Due to licensing requirements for consumer protection and insurance/liability coverage we will ask for the names of all overnight guests and day visitors.
Location: Long Lake is centrally located between fun Northwoods towns with shopping, dining and summer festivals – Hayward or Rice Lake (20 miles) Spooner or Stone Lake (12 miles). Duluth and the North Shore of Lake Superior are 1 ½ hour away and Bayfield and Madeline Island 2 hours. Minneapolis/St Paul and the MSP airport are just over 2 hours away.
