BUFFALO CREEK LODGE your deluxe mountain chalet for romantic getaways, vacations, or fly-fishing trips. Special note: Just opened up new unrestricted views of the Smoky Mountains from the back lawn, featuring : Screened cook house with stone grill, hot/cold water sink and small refrigerator. Next to cook house you'll find wrought iron table with four chairs for outdoor dining. Relax in the sturdy swing for two facing the fire pit and unsurpassed long-range views of the Smoky Mountains. Sunsets are amazing from this West facing lawn.
BUFFALO CREEK LODGE - A rustic Swiss-style chalet high on our private 40-acre ridge at 2,600 feet elevation. Marvel at spectacular views of the Smokies from the covered porch and balconies...6,642-foot high Clingman's Dome, only 41 feet less that the highest peak in the eastern United States. Cozy up to blazing logs on cool evenings. Gain a sense of history at Cherokee and the acclaimed outdoor drama, Unto These Hills. Explore the world's oldest mountains supporting the world's most diverse biosystem. Thrill to cascading waterfalls and rare virgin forests. Fly-fish for native trout in near-by crystal mountain streams and tumbling rivers.
Local hemlock wood exterior blends the Lodge into its natural forested setting. Comfortable furnishings, and antique pine and cypress flooring, distinguish the spacious interior throughout. The living room's hugh floor-to-ceiling fireplace is built of native 'creek rock' handpicked from local streams.
Two Bedrooms:
BR #1 on first floor has King Bed
BR #2 on second floor has King Bed and balcony. Bedroom #3. Queen plus twin. You'll love the handy upstairs coffee 'nook' with refrigerator for your morning coffee and evening beverages.
Two Full Bathrooms: Upstairs bath has shower and downstairs bath has large walk-in shower with seat.
Large Screen Porch: 24 feet wide - 10 feet deep. Round glass top dining table with wicker chairs, rocking chairs and TV. The porch has stunning views and overlooks the back lawn entertainment area.
The complete kitchen was renovated wall-to-wall in 2002 with cherry wood counter tops and all new appliances: gas stove, microwave, dishwashser, refrigerator, ice maker. Cooking utensils provided.
FOR FAMILY REUNIONS OR LARGER GROUPS. We have three additional rental facilities located within a short walking distance from the main Buffalo Creek Lodge. Ask about the Buffalo Creek Guest Cottage, the Buffalo Creek Bridge Cottage and our new Buffalo Trace Cabin.
